Our Vision

Establish a national presence by 2030 and equip young women with college and career readiness skills that prepare them for success in higher education and the workforce.

Unplanned pregnancy, unhealthy relationships, homelessness...I was seeing a pattern and I felt compelled to help change those outcomes.

FoundHer Story

Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. Founder, Shanita Perdomo, served as a Therapeutic Case Manager for 10+ years before starting this organization. As she worked with teen clients, she saw a broken system failing yet another generation of girls.

"Unplanned pregnancy, unhealthy relationships, homelessness...for some girls, these things can feel inevitable.  I saw a pattern and I felt compelled to help change those outcomes."

A former foster child from Oakland, California, Shanita credits her mentors with helping her beat the odds to break free of an environment that would have held her back. She wanted to provide young women with the kind of support she had from caring adults in her life.

"They pushed me to reach my potential so that I didn't become another statistic."

Shanita founded Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. in May 2021 to be the missing link between community resources and underserved girls who need to know they DO have options and they CAN aspire to a different life path.

"We believe girls from under-resourced communities have an untapped source of strength, ideas, and potential. Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. intends to unearth this greatness by bringing them to environments where they can reimagine their futures."
