HOW DOES SKILL BUILDHER™ WORK?
Skill BuildHER™ Professional Development Labs give girls hands-on opportunities to develop skills they’ll use beyond the classroom. Labs include Professional Networking, Mock Interview, Financial Literacy, and College Readiness, with each experience designed around specific goals and objectives.
HOW MANY STUDENTS CAN PARTICIPATE?
We welcome groups of 10 to 100+ students. While Skill BuildHER™ centers girls, we occasionally offer co-ed experiences depending on the event.
IS THERE A COST?
Skill BuildHER™ experiences are free for schools and youth-serving organizations.
For in-person events, Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. also provides lunch for students and participating professionals.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Skill BuildHER™ is designed primarily for 8th–12th grade students and early college students. Depending on the experience, we may be able to accommodate younger students.

WHEN CAN WE HOST A SKILL BUILDHER™?
Experiences are available Monday through Friday during school and after-school hours. Saturday events may be available by exception.
WHO ARE THE PROFESSIONALS?
We partner with professionals from Fortune 100–1,000 companies and other organizations that believe in preparing girls for the workforce. Our professional volunteers bring real-world experience, mentorship, and encouragement to the experience.
HOW DO WE PREPARE?
First, say YES!
Once your event is confirmed, your Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. event facilitator will connect with your primary contact to coordinate the details and provide your event packet, virtual links, schedules, and other logistics.
Your team simply needs to provide a space where students can participate and help ensure our professionals can enter the building smoothly. We’ll take it from there.
